The Soft Landings Framework aims to facilitate a collaborative and informed approach to the handover process such that there is a seamless transition from construction to operations.

To paraphrase a well-known line from a Kipling poem – ‘Construction is Construction, and Operations is Operations, and never the twain (two) shall meet’.

A truer observation could not be made of the ‘handover’ phase of a project from the construction team to the operations team despite the best endeavours of the commissioning management team.
