Collins Arch, developed by Cbus Property, is an architecturally striking mixed-use development incorporating twin 42- storey towers joined by a skybridge. Located at 447 Collins Street, the 165,000sqm precinct includes a PCA premium grade office space in the West Tower and high-end luxury apartments, penthouses and the five-star W Melbourne in the East Tower.

The West Tower is registered to pursue WELL Certification and was delivered with 5-star Green Star Design and As Built rating and a commitment to 5.5 star NABERS rating.

The West Tower comprises 49,000sqm of premium office spaces across 28 levels, with floor plates of approximately 1,800sqm – 2,300sqm including the flexibility to include large atriums spaces, providing excellent workplace connectivity, city views and natural light.

The West Tower also has residential apartments from Level 30 and above. The W Melbourne occupies 15 Levels in the East Tower, with residential apartments from L16 and above.

ECS was engaged by Cbus Property as its independent commissioning agent to advocate on all matters relating to commissioning on the office building, residential and the hotel components within the precinct.

ECS reported directly to Cbus Property. Working in collaboration with Multiplex and its Subcontractors and the novated consultants, ECS drove the commissioning management processes with the responsibility for ensuring that all building services systems were commissioned in line with the principal’s project requirements and design intent, and that systems functioned as per the design specification.

Successful handover was achieved through robust and reliable testing of the integrated building services systems.

ECS developed the Integrated Systems Testing scripts (Black Start Testing and Full Function Fire Test) in collaboration and coordination with Multiplex and its associated subcontractors across the large range of different services and systems.
